09-10-2017 IV Congress of Tourism Quality of ICTE in Cali

2017 is the International Year of Sustainable Tourism. A key issue for the future of global tourism involving both public administrations and the private sector.

The IV International Congress of Tourism Quality will address this issue with experts from around the world who will meet from November 17 to 26 in Colombia.

The increase in the number of tourists that is taking place in the whole number brings with it a series of challenges and opportunities that both public administrations and the private tourism sector must face.

How can we foster present development without compromising the future? What tools do entrepreneurs and administrations have in order to make tourism present a future tourism?

These and other issues of great importance for the sector will be addressed during the IV International Congress of Tourism Quality, one of the global forums of reference in the sector, to be held in Colombia from November 17 to 26 and whose main office will be the city of Cali.

The Congress is called Tourism for Peace and Development and is developed with the collaboration of the Government of Valle del Cauca, the City Council of Santiago de Cali and Procolombia (the entity that is dedicated to promoting tourism in this country).

The aim of ICTE is to claim the important role of tourism in the world economy, as well as its effectiveness as a tool for peace and the development of peoples.

Prestigious speakers, such as the Deputy Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of Colombia, Sandra Howard; Basque Government Tourism Minister Alfredo Retortillo; the director of Tourism of Galicia, Nava Castro; the director of Quality and Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Tourism of Colombia, Maria Amalia Vásquez; the president of the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Apartments -CEHAT-, Juan Molas; the Director of Certification of AENOR International, Manuel Romero; the director of Procolombia, Schalma Díaz-Granados; the director of the Art Cullinary School of Mexico, Javier González will meet in the Congress.

Also, will be attended by Toni Bernabé, General Director of the Foundation Tourism Valencia; Gustavo Adolfo Toro Velásques, president of COTELCO; Mar de Miguel, Secretary General of the Hotel Business Association of Madrid -AEHM- and Miguel Mirones, President of ICTE and Affiliate Members of UNWTO.

The speakers will participate in a total of eight Round Tables that will address issues such a "Sustainable tourism = Sustainable development "," Tourism for peace and development ","Contribution of gastronomic tourism to the country brand","How not to die of success : Keys to the management of tourist flows", the "Tourist Quality. International Experiences","Cases of success in product creation", "MICE Tourism: Seasonalization through tourism of congresses and events" and "Collaborative Economy. Beyond the myth".
